Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

SlopChop is a miniature painting progress tracker operated from Ireland. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use SlopChop. These terms work alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility and accounts

SlopChop is not directed at children under 16, and you must be at least 16 to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date in Settings.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you must not:

• Upload unlawful, hateful, harassing, or sexually exploitative content.
• Post content you do not have the right to share, or that infringes others’ rights.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download other users’ content without permission.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or brand.

Projects that receive multiple reports may be automatically hidden from public view pending review by a human moderator, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the projects, steps, photos, journal entries, and other content you create (“your content”). By posting content you grant SlopChop a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the service — for example, showing a project you have marked public to other users. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by others or retained briefly in backups.

You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the rights necessary to post it.

5. Paint catalogues and brand names

SlopChop references paint and brush names to help you track your work. All such names, ranges, and related trademarks are the property of their respective manufacturers and rights holders. SlopChop is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. Colour values are approximations provided for convenience and may differ from the physical product.

6. Service availability

SlopChop is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We recommend keeping your own copies of important content — you can export your data at any time in Settings.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SlopChop and its operator disclaim all implied warranties and are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or applicable law, normally with notice where practical. On termination, your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as content licences already granted to others, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email or in-app before they take effect. Continuing to use SlopChop after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
